Is it possible to lose 10 lbs in a week? The short answer is yes. The long answer is that it depends on the diet and your body.

The goal of every diet is to achieve a better body image and to be healthier. Everyone starts a diet for these reasons. Nobody goes on a diet out of boredom.

Okay, maybe some people do but they live in the mountains.

For some, people see diets as something that you have to starve yourself through to achieve what you want to do. That isn’t true. Diets that force you to really starve yourself are going to be some of the least effective diets you can do. You have to treat your body the right way and eating properly without starving yourself is going to get you the best results.

Some “experts” say that you should only lose 1-2 pounds a week. I say that your body is more than capable of losing more weight than that when you diet correctly. You are more than capable of losing 3, 5, or even 10 pounds in a week. This is where this diet plan comes into play.

Following this plan for a week can help you lose up to 10 pounds. This may sound drastic, but it can be done.

I probably shouldn’t have to say this but I will. Not everybody that tries this will lose 10 lbs. If you are 120 lbs with 3% body fat you don’t have much more to go with regards to weight loss.

However, if you are overweight due to poor eating habits you’ll find that you can cut out fat quickly just by going on a carb detox.

The Plan to Lose 10 lbs in One Week

You will be surprised to know that this plan doesn’t revolve around you wrapping yourself in plastic wrap and going inside of a microwave.

It really comes down to changing your eating habits and incorporating a couple of things that help to change your mindset.

I know, pretty boring, but also pretty effective. Let’s see what you need to do.

The sugars that are found in many fruits will be distributed throughout your body evenly. You won’t have anything else stopping the sugars from being moved to certain areas and you won’t have an excess amount of sugars accumulate in your body.

Add a serving of nuts to your fruit filled breakfast to get that little bit of protein. Protein plays an essential role in the weight loss process. It’s important to understand proteins and why they are beneficial to both burning fat and gaining lean muscle mass.

Lunch

Make sure that your lunch is protein-dominant. You want more protein because your body isn’t going to store it as fat, your body will use it as energy. Since protein is going to burn off faster, your body will then look to start burning body fat as its source of energy.

You’ll want to avoid bread at all costs. I know this will be difficult or maybe it’s only difficult for me because bread at lunch means a good sandwich.

The problem with bread is that it is loaded with carbs and carbs are what get people into this mess in the first place.

Fewer carbs mean your body produces less glycogen which means your body produces less fat. Less fat means less time reading sites learning how to burn fat.

Most people love a mid-afternoon snack. When people think of snacks, they think of chips or a candy bar. If you want to try and lose weight quick, you need to cut this out immediately.

For the purposes of this diet, your snack should be a fresh spinach salad sprinkled with some olive oil. Some of you may be dying to have some regular salad dressing, but when you take a deeper look at dressings, they aren’t nearly as healthy as you think. Many dressings have a lot of loaded fat in them that goes unnoticed. People think that just because they are having a salad, it is automatically healthy.

Having a spinach salad with minimal added ingredients and a little bit of olive oil as the dressing will give you the very healthy snack you need when you are trying to drop a significant amount of weight quickly.

Dinner

This is going to be your last meal. It is important to try and have this meal between 2-4 hours before you go to bed. Having this meal too close to bedtime will throw off your sleep pattern and cause your body to retain much of what you ate.

Keep your dinner relatively light. A recommended dinner is 2 hardboiled eggs and a green salad, one similar to the snack you had earlier. This dinner will give you the bit of protein and minerals that will help you shed those pounds.

Since you will be eating with a lot of time to spare before you go to bed, you may get the urge to eat more or grab another snack. Don’t give in to this temptation. You don’t need that snack. This diet is only 7 days! You have plenty of time after this time period to eat what you want if you aren’t convinced dropping so much weight is the best thing for you.

After Dinner

After you’re done with your last meal of the day, prepare about a liter of green tea. A liter can seem like a lot of liquid to finish so make sure you start drinking immediately after dinner. Don’t wait to try and drink all of it right before bed.

Green tea is full of antioxidants that will help clean out your system, just like the lemon water. By speeding up your metabolism, green tea will help your body burn fat while you are sleeping.

Losing weight while you are sleeping is something that a lot of people wish they had the power to do. Well, everyone is capable of it. They just need to make sure their diet pushes their body to do it.

Losing 10 pounds in 7 days is not an easy task. It’s going to take a lot of discipline. If you are mentally strong enough and able to push through those moments where you feel like you’re about to break down, you will lose the weight.

Since this is a quick weight loss process, it’s going to be something that you need to try and continue to do after the 7 days is over. If you fall back into your old habits after this week, you will gain back the weight that you lost just as quick as you lost it.

Stay disciplined, stay focused, and you will lose the weight.
